#ad Throughout the process of looking for a new home, this app, specifically the Ownability feature, is SO helpful. It gives you a realistic view of what homes you can afford in the area you’re looking for. It also provides options to connect you with local, top-rated realtors and even has a lot of useful information for sellers - I’ve been enjoying the articles on how to stage your home before listing. Download the app and start your home search with Houseful! The link is in my bio. @hellohouseful #paid #homebuying #realestate #housefulpartner
We got the keys to our new house last night! Went over for a swim and some take out on the deck. We love this house so much. After seeing multiple houses over the past year, this was the only one that gave us that comfortable feeling when we walked in. Like ahhh ok …. we can see ourselves putting roots down here. It just felt right. We have a 2 week bridge on our mortgage (fun times) so still in our current home for another 2 weeks while we pack and make a few changes to the new place. It was built in the 90s and is basically all original - we’ll be doing some fun updates with friends! Feeling super blessed to have multiple friends in the industry that are excited to help us out. Some quotes without their help made me feel nauseated haha. Looking forward to sharing the progress with you guys! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
You guys asked for more real life moments, so how about me plunging toilets 😂 God bless my neighbour that watched the girls for a few hours yesterday, I have already cried a few times over how much I’ll miss her and her family. Not going to lie, my anxiety has been really hard to manage lately, but I’m doing my best to get it under control so I can enjoy the summer with my girls (and also not mess up anything important with this move 🫠) Moving entails A LOT more this time - we moved into this house (our first house) 5 years ago, but we were living with my parents so didn’t need to worry about selling (having internet and insurance switched over, property tax receipts, the lawyer stuff, all that jazz) and we didn’t have much to move. This is an *experience.*
Because getting 2 kittens and moving wasn’t enough change for me … went dark and got some bangs! Thank you Charise @thatchandfringe you are so talented and I just freaking love you as a human. In 2008 I loooved Olga Kurylenko’s bangs in James Bond but I was way too scared to do it. @Ella Langley was the push I needed, haha. Hair is hair. Try the fun stuff 🫶🏻
So many mixed emotions with this! This is our first big move, when we moved into this house 5 years ago we were leaving my parents place, and we really didn’t have much. It’s wild what you can accumulate over 5 years, but I’m actually really looking forward to going through allllll of our stuff before packing and getting rid of what isn’t needed anymore and donating it. The idea of starting over in a new space is really fun. But I will miss all of the memories we have here … getting choked up just writing this. I’ve moved a bunch through my life and I always get very sentimental about the homes we’re leaving. This one’s been so good to us. 🫶🏻
I want to be clear that this is more for overtired moments, when they start crying and just don’t even know why they’re crying anymore. I feel it’s hard to give advice these days because there’s so many different types of parenting and people will be quick to judge yours, and say you’re doing the wrong thing when you’re just saying what works for you and your family. It’s stopped me from making a lot of these videos. But I know what it feels like when you just desperately want to help your kids calm down - I’ve read many places that people think distraction is wrong, because you’re not addressing the feeling but I personally find distraction to be very helpful in some situations (like the one I mention). And then when my child is more calm, I can have a chat with them about their feelings. I dunno, this is my take and if it helps anyone I’m happy! 🫶🏻 #motherhood
