This is why people don’t talk about money. Even though it’s something we universally will struggle with at some point or another. If anything, the fact that I suggested we forgo our expensive lifestyle and lease to relieve financial pressure on us during this time of uncertainty is a testament to the opposite of those accusations. It is financially the best move for us to recover and ideally come back stronger and better than ever to give our children the future we always wanted to. It’s not easy to walk away from stuff you worked hard for. It’s not easy to humble yourself especially with the world watching. But I don’t care what people think of me as much as I care about our financial stability and happiness. The material things don’t mean anything to me anyway. We’ll be okay 🫶🏽 The sayings that come to mind are “when one door closes another one opens” or “sometimes things need to fall apart to be put back together the way they were meant to be” The funny thing is, we truly believe that. We have just had the blessing of learning a fundamental truth about life. Material items can be taken away. Material things mean nothing. So do not put all of your efforts into cultivating things that can be taken away and that mean nothing. Our health, our family, our marriage, our children, our happiness. 2025 we are going to put everything we have into nurturing these things first. Thank you for all of your support. Last year was hard. Infertility was hard but then part of me thinks…thank goodness this didn’t happen while we had a baby on the way.
