I almost bought a house 🫣 ✨ me and my partner are not married so the plan was that I would purchase the house alone in my name only and he would help cover the mortgage as “rent.” I would only purchase a home I could reasonably afford by myself so splitting would just be nice to have. Also he wouldn’t have any responsibilities to pay for repairs or home maintenance since he wouldn’t get equity. Just paying a fair rent price. This is something we agreed on either way (if he purchased on his own or if I did) so it would be fair!! ✨ the home we found was a bit over my budget but we were willing to make it work. But ig life said that’s not the right one for you!!! ✨ this is something I’ve been a bit embarrassed about since I saved this money up starting in 2022 through the beginning of 2024 and then ended up not even using it for its intended purpose. And it’s honestly just been sitting there for so long bc I felt frozen with what to do with it (having it also felt like a security blanket but I KNOW LOGICALLY it’s way too much money to keep in cash. Plus it could have made sooooo much more in the stock market, but life happens!!! I’m glad I can use part of it to fully fund my 12 month emergency fund and getting the rest into the stock market FINALLY is better late than never 🙃
