OC: @drashleytop 🥕if you want your kids (and yourself) to eat more veggies but in a sneaky way without the battles then there are some psychological hacks… Mere exposure effect: just seeing vegetables often (on the table, in lunchboxes, on snack boards) makes them more familiar, less scary, and eventually…more desirable. Don’t tie veggies to rewards (“eat broccoli, get dessert”) or punishments. That makes carrots the villain and cookies the hero…no moral value needs to be applied to any one food. Instead, snackify your vegetables: cut them into strips, sticks, coins, or stars. Make it playful and leave a plate out. A child’s gut microbiome is being seeded for life in the early years. The more diverse the veg, the more diverse the microbes…and that’s linked to better immunity, mood, metabolism, and more.
