Sad news for ‘Black Mirror’ fans as it’s interactive special ‘Bandernsatch’, along with all Netflix original interactive titles, is being removed off Netflix. The ‘Choose your own adventure’ style special released in December 2018 to favourable reviews and developed its own fandom separated from the wider ‘Black Mirror’ fan community. The interactive movie also got a continuation in the recent ‘Black Mirror’ episode ‘Plaything’. However, with Netflix moving away from interactive titles and more towards gaming, ‘Bandersnatch’ will be pulled from the streaming platform on the 12th May. So not only can Jonathan Bailey sing, dance and act but he can play the clarinet too! 😱 And the actor got to show off his clarinet skills in his new film ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, where he got to record a clarinet solo for this character Henry Loomis’s theme 🎶 In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Bailey revealed that the film’s director, Gareth Edwards, told him that they were recording the score at Abbey Road. “I sat with my mate at the top just to watch and got goosebumps.” The actor went on to say that watching the orchestra inspired him to pick up his old clarinet. “As the week progressed, I came back and I was like, ‘Can I bring my clarinet?’ I played the clarinet in school. And on the Friday, they said, ‘Look you can come.’” Composer Alexander Desplat offered a clarinet solo to Bailey that he declined and immediately regretted. But when another clarinet solo came up, Bailey took it. “Desplat said, ‘It’s now or never.’ And I just went, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ And I ended up playing the theme of Dr. Henry Loomis, the character I play.” The actor then said that he first started playing the clarinet more than 30 years ago after his grandfather gave him a plastic version of the instrument. Jonathan Bailey went on to say, “It just shows that if you find something you love and commit to it, you never know how it comes full circle. Last night we said goodbye to ‘Andor’ as its final 3 episodes aired. In the final arc, we see Cassian (Diego Luna) finally ready to embark on his last mission that we see him take on in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ But last night was also full circle for Diego Luna as not only did it mark the end of Cassian Andor’s journey, but it was also exactly ten years to the day that Luna was officially announced to be starring in ‘Rogue One’ 😱 On May 13 2015, Variety exclusively broke the news that Diego Luna would be joining Felicity Jones in a lead role in the then titled ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’. In the article, Luna’s character wasn’t yet named Cassian Andor, but listed as a rebel fighter. The film, which released in 2016, shows Andor take on a rogue mission to steal the plans of the Death Star and get them to Princess Leia, a mission that Andor, along with the rest of the Rogue One team, sacrifices himself for. The ‘Andor’ show, which first starting releasing episodes in 2022, has shown Cassian’s journey from a lost man looking for his sister, to a rebel captain doing everything he can for the rebellion. Diego Luna’s Star Wars journey officially starting and ending on the same day 10 years apart is incredibly meaningful, and it even blew the actor’s mind!
